I sat down and counted it out…I have 12 weeks left…12! That’s not nearly enough time! I always feel like pregnancy takes forever and you just drudge through it til you get this beautiful baby to make it all worth it. But this time around, I blinked and now I’m 7 month pregnant and freaking out, because I have nothing ready. The crib is still in pieces laying up against my living room wall, all of the baby boy clothes we have are in boxes somewhere in our garage that we haven’t gotten to yet. And I haven’t even tried to attempt to teach Andrew potty training. This is going to be tough. I can just feel it! And God bless him, but my poor husband, after I get to be with him and the kids for 6 full wonderful weeks off from work, he’ll be here with all three of them by himself! I think we’ll have to borrow some grandparents from time to time til we get a little routine down so that he doesn’t go running out the door, completely insane!
I’m so happy with where life has decided to take us. We have a wonderful family. A great house. An awesome beginnning to make our own traditions and it’s all starting so soon! Elena is really getting into coloring, and writing. She’s so into it, that she decided to display her name over and over again (letters not in the right order, but close enough) all over her wall of her joint bedroom with Andrew. I felt bad having to tell her that this was not something that we do, that paper is the only place we write because she was sooo proud of her work! And believe it or not, she’s amazing at the water works on demand! That girl could cry her way out of anything. It’s insane! I’ve never seen someone who could turn on the waterworks like her, and I mean like big gigantic crocodile tears! haha. Gotta love her.
And Mr. Andrew is getting to be such a little man! I can’t believe how clever he is, or that he knows so much for being so little. He still doesn’t want to talk English yet, which is fine because I imagine Andrew-ise is a lot more fun for him because no one knows what he is saying. It just gets hard when you know he’s trying to tell you something that he thinks is important and he can’t get it out! He lays on the floor and pouts and it’s hard because as a parent, you want to help in anyway you can to see that little smile come out, but if you can’t understand, ” jdklfajieuivnbrjna”, it makes for a difficult time. I guess that’s how it is when you go to another country, so it’s like have the UN debates in my house constantly, if you can imagine. Just without the translators!
Well I did what I came here to do, and that was to provide you with pictures of kids, a little bit about life around here. And to clear my head about everything that is soon to happen.
Oh! And did I mention…I’m having a bit of a freak out about turning 25? I can’t believe it. I’ll be twenty five this time next week. Where did the time go! I know 25 might not be that big of a deal to most people. But I just feel like a lot has happened in these twenty five years. I’ll have three kids, a house, and I own my car now. I feel very adult. Plus I started to cut out COUPONS! I have officially become a mother. HAHA
