Who would of thought that socks could make a little guy happy? Tye Dyed Bamboo socks which he stole from his Nina. And now he runs around wearing my socks, which come up to his upper thighs,and had that beautiful smile. What a silly kid!

So Elena and I had a date day yesterday because I’ll be honest, my attention gets sucked up by the younger two and I feel like she doesn’t ever get full attention from me. So I wanted her to have a day of just her.
We started our day by going to my ortho appointment and Elena won everyone over there with her goofyness. She is my class clown of our little group of kids. She made everyone giggle and she even got to decide what color of bands to put on, and if you know my daughter you know that i have neon pink bands now for the next month. She’s such a girl! She wanted my teeth to match her outfit. She won over my orthodontist by telling him how much she loves to brush her teeth! haha, that’s my daughter!
So after that little adventure we decided to go to nisswa for a little shopping. It was honestly one of the best date days Elena and I have had!
We ended the shopping spree by going to the local coffee house and getting some treats. Elena indulged herself with a giantic chocolate chip cookie the size of her head, and insisted that we get daddy a raspberry white chocolate scone. When we got home Mr,Craig sucked down the scone and didn’t say much about it. Till this morning..he gets up, comes out to the living room and looks at me and says, “I woke up wanting a scone this morning. Maybe we should get some recipes so you can make me more.” So being the overly obessed with recipe apps on my phone person that i am, type scones into my betty crocker app and find this wonderful recipe…which is where i was going with the title of this blog! I was given a jar of honey apple butter from my dad and step mom from Trader joe’s and i have been itching to use it in a recipe. Here’s what I made!
Apple Butter Cream Cheese Scones!!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all purpose-flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup apple butter
1 teaspoon butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons prepared cinnamon-sugar
1 package cream cheese-softened
Heat oven to 425 F. In large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and brown sugar. Stir in 1/4 cup butter, eggs, whipping cream, cream cheese, and apple butter until soft dough forms.
On lightly floured surface, pat dough into 8-inch round, about 3/4 inch thick. Brush with 1 teaspoon butter; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Cut into 8 wedges. Place wedges on an ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack.
Calories-280….yuuummmyyy calories
And “holy apple butter batman” are they good! Super soft and dipped in melted butter and rolled in raw sugar and cinnamon. yuummmyyy. So we decided as a family, that Sunday is going to be our scone day. We are going to try a new recipe each sunday! I think we’ll try blue berry white chocolate next sunday. Just sounds too good to not try!
But i also wanted to show something that i got on camera…it’s a miracle..Andrew hugging Elena…yes..there was an actual hug that happened and now just once…on this night 5 hugs happened in a row. It’s purely a miracle.

I haven’t been able to be on here in awhile since i got back into the work routine. It’s been hectic and full of chaos, but i love my life and love my family.
I don’t really have much to talk about, and since my eyes are barely staying open as it is. I’m just having a picture blog tonight.

You don’t really know what love is til you have little ones to snuggle with.
It’s getting closer and closer to the end of my maternity leave, and I’m getting really sad to have to go back to the life of seeing my kids less than 4 hours a day.
So in lue of my momma-down moment, I decided to make this post about my little inspirations.

So this last saturday was the kids shared birthday party!
And we had lots and lots of family and little friends come to play.
We wanted to make an sesame street cake, and well…as you can see it didn’t turn out that great! I am a victim of no air condtioning, so piping a cake is an luxury that i now know i don’t have. So instead we made a tye-dye cake and make a few little to go on top. The elmo and big birds turned out really cool! but unfortunately the rest didn’t turn out the greatest, but the kids loved it and that’s all that matters!!
It was actually a very tasty cake! I might look like a mess, but the strawberry and red velvet cake inside under that homemade frosting-with food coloring of course, was to die for. And I still, unfortunately for my waistline, have a lot left in my refridgerator!
Elena had a great time sitting in my lap opening presents and Andrew wasn’t quite into it, but he was totally in love with all the trucks and distructive toys he received for his birthday.
William got his snuggles in and was passed around between all the grandparents
But all in all it was a really great party, minsus that fact that everyone lost weight from sweating to death in my little house. But the kids played mostly outside and that helped relieve alot of the congestion in the house. Next year, we’re moving all the furniture around just so we can actually have everyone fit in the house. Even though, every year Mr. Craig reminds me how much he doesn’t like big birthday parties. And then he realizes that it’s not a huge party, that’s just how much family we have! It’s not like we invite the whole town!!! But it was great to have the family and friends that could come around.
We are truly blessed by all the people in our lives who love our children so much.
They have an amazing foundation of love to build their lives on.
Getting ready for elena and andrew’s big dual birthday party and i’m falling behind in my crafts!!!
I promised myself to take my time and really enjoy the craft, then i realized that tomorrow is elena’s birthday and i haven’t even gotten presents yet! I guess you can say that I’ve been a bit preoccupied! Ya know, having a newborn and all!
I can’t honestly believe my little girl is going to be four years old tomorrow and Aj is going to be 2 on August 3rd. Instead of having a mid life crisis, I’m having a ” can’t believe my children are growing up and that I have three on them!” crisis. No cool cars for me, no extravagant gifts, just a mini-van and diapers. Don’t get me wrong, that mini is a sweet ride, just feel like I should start wearing mom jeans and kitty sweaters with a chain to hold my glasses around my neck for safe keeping. Okay, a bit dramatic? I know, but I’ve always had a flair for the drama in life and having three kids really brings it out in you, when you haven’t slept in three weeks and you still haven’t had your cup of coffee for the day.
So I started this blog by talking about my craft time! So here are a few pictures of the craft so far…I haven’t gotten anywhere close to being done. oops!!!
I’ll put up the finished project hopefully tomorrow for my little girls birthday!
I never remember that I have a blog, let alone, update the dang thing!

Elena: “well he’s not crying so he must be sleeping.”

Elena: “Daddy…look at my belly button…but don’t touch it…or I’ll blow up”
